Legacy Campaign

Kingdom Minded - Eternity Focused

Legacy Introduction

We believe that the Lord is calling New River to be a place where people can encounter the presence of the Living God and the person of Jesus Christ for generations and generations to come.

Campaign Vision

What is the Legacy Campaign? We have put together a quick vision guide that lays out what we believe the Lord is calling our church to do during this campaign.

Pledge & Gifts

Ready to make your pledge or one time gift? Use the forms below to get started with contributions to our campaign.

New River began 23 years ago with just a few people meeting in an old poker hall. From those humble beginnings, God has grown, moved, and shaped this church to be a house of worship, full of people who just want to see the name of Jesus glorified. He has graciously provided land, buildings, parking lots, and this campus holds countless stories of God’s grace, redemption, restoration, and healing. Our attendance has doubled since 2019. The average attendance in 2019 was 472 adults on a Sunday. We are now averaging 943. We are serving over 300 children on Sunday mornings and over 100 students 6th-12th grade on Sunday nights.

With growth comes many needs. This is where the Legacy Campaign begins. By God’s grace and with God’s guidance, it’s time for us to expand to accommodate for current and future growth. We need more space for children, students, discipleship, Sunday services, and more. Below, we will outline our immediate goals and what we prayerfully hope to accomplish with the Legacy Campaign. Of course, we make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. We want to steward well all that God has given us. I want to invite you to take a step of faith with us: to sow into something we cannot yet see and believe that New River will continue to be a place where people can encounter the presence of the Living God and the person of Jesus Christ for generations and generations to come.

Our goal at New River is to make a big church feel small. We are committed to providing opportunities for every member of your family to learn, grow, and connect with the Body.We have ample discipleship groups and classes, as well as ministries for every age and stage of life. We have two Sunday services that preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have the leaders and the attendees. We are only limited by our space. The legacy campaign we believe will help us to expand our facilities and accomodate for more people, groups, classes, and ministries. We see our facilities as a God-given tool. It’s not the main thing, but it’s the way we can invite people to encounter the main thing: Jesus.

Our debt currently sits at four million dollars. The Legacy Campaign will help us pay down our debt and open up resources for more ministry purposes, giving back to our community, funding mission trips, and expanding our campus.

The Legacy Campaign will help us move forward with our plans to add an extension to our gray building that will provide additional office spaces, growth group rooms, River Kidz rooms, as well as a fellowship hall and meeting space for New River Students. We will also fully renovate our balcony and add additional parking to
accomodate for growth.

Generosity involves equal sacrifice, each person participating and sacrificing for God’s greater cause: the hearts, lives and futures of our neighbors, our community and our world.

Three-year Commitment

You gladly and generously commit to give a specific amount over your regular giving. This faith commitment stretches us to trust that God will provide so that you can be part of His work. This commitment can be fulfilled weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.

Cash Gift

This cash gift may come from a tax refund, stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. Or it may come from an inheritance, an insurance policy or even a garage sale. Practicing generosity often requires prayer and creative thinking about how to give.

Gifts-In-Kind

Not every gift will be financial. For those who have a skill, a business, or a product that can be donated to alleviate some building costs, generosity may be expressed in gifts-in-kind.
