1st, 2nd, 3rd John by Tony Evans (Right Now Media Study)
Led by Linda Gibbons and Stephanie Lewin

Comfortable Christianity can sometimes mean a weak Christianity. In this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love.

Homework: About 30 Minutes/week. Read a few verses, watch video, answer questions.

The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson (Book/Prayer Study)
Led by Kathy Widenhouse, Janice Allen and Kelly Hunter

Last semester, one NRL group dipped our toes into the waters of prayer. Now we want to go knee deep … or further. This class will use the NY Times bestseller The Circle Maker to pick up where last semester’s What Happens When Women Pray left off and keep going. We’ll use the text and scripture to study what it means to dream big, pray hard, and think long.

Each session will consist of about 45 minutes of study and discussion and 45 minutes of group prayer. If you are a pray-er and want to go deeper in your individual and group prayer life, we invite you to join us.

Homework: 10-15 minutes of reading per week plus daily personal prayer time.

Ezekiel Part 2 - When My Sanctuary Is in Their Midst Forever (Precept Study)
Led by Stephanie Cope and Sarah Chaplin

The watchman speaks hope from the Lord. God will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick. He will set over them one Shepherd and He will feed them Himself. Then they will know that He is the Lord and they are His people.

This Precepts study is the the 2nd half of Ezekiel and follows part one we did in the Fall semester. You can do part two without having done part one, but some reading in the first part of Ezekiel will be necessary to catch up. Precepts Upon Precepts studies dig deep into God's word, one verse at a time and you will certainly get back out what you put into the study!

Homework: is required with this study and consists of five days of assignments per lesson. Expect to spend 3 to 5 hours minimum/week.

Steadfast Love by Lauren Chandler (Video/Workbook Study)
Led by Sheri Lichty and Tonya Davis

This group will be completing two shorter studies this semester.

Homework: Both studies have a short video each week and the homework will take about 30 min/week to complete.

"Crossing the Waters" is set in the Gospels on the life of Christ. The author's passion and the great setting of the videos draw us into this study from the unique perspective of our author, whose family are Alaskan fishermen; she will use this setting as the backdrop to look at the fishermen disciples.  We will seek a greater understanding of Jesus and look for more ways we can obey His command to "Come, follow me".

Materials: We will provide you with a packet with homework for each week.

"Steadfast Love" will study Psalm 107. Through this study we will continue to follow Jesus though both the good and the bad, worshiping Him in it all.  We will learn to face everything with Jesus as our anchor.

Materials: You will need to purchase the "Steadfast Love" Bible Study Workbook.
